Our history

Our story and our contact with wine begins back in 2000 when we made the first attempts to get to know it better through various visits to wineries and tastings of wines from all over the world.

In 2005, our love for wine takes shape with the creation of a place with an appeal to wine, taking the first professional steps, in 2010 we proceed to create perhaps the first wine bar in the country under the name “Oineonas wine bar & shop” with a extensive wine list.

From then until today, many things have mediated in the field of wine with trips, collaborations, publications in electronic magazines, wine tastings, creation of wine and cultural events, seminars along with certified studies on wine (WSET).

Greek Terroir

Greece is a country with unique terroirs. The relief of the country, the different soils, the endless coastline and the countless islands create a diverse combination of different climates and microclimates with great differences between them, thus giving many and different wine fields. From Macedonia to the Dodecanese and from Crete to Thrace ready to make their wine mark by offering unique wines with diversity and personality.

Of course the human factor is very important for the creation of excellent wines and is included in the term of the vineyard, he is the one who will create the wine and express its place of origin, following the centuries-old tradition, the cultivation techniques of each time and also his personal style.
